Hotel not as described

Basics are it says on main website page that it has high speed internet, trouser press, iron and ironing board, radio and telephone.

It has none of these, the internet is dial up speed also the television is screwy or may just be remote, all I can do with it is change channels and even then you could point at the screen and nothing happens, even if it does you either get no sound on a channel and/or it takes about 2 minutes to change, nothing happens at first then 1 number shows on screen, then other, then about 15 more seconds of a pause.

Hotel says there is nothing I can do, but what are my rights.

Who did you book with? How did you book it (as a package holiday, on its own as a component, over the phone or internet, how did you pay for it and what was the price)?

Do the hotel actually offer these facilities in other rooms? Is the hotel in the UK?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

Did you do a bit of research before booking, Tripadvisor etc.?

Is it a chain hotel? Or independent?

The only difference between the main website and the 3rd party one is the 3rd party one lists wifi internet, and the hotel lists "high speed internet" The speed I got was 0.2 meg and that is if it even connected.

The trouser press was needed as I had a pair of trousers in my bag.

Did not do a check before as it was a bit short notice, though there was no noticable bad reviews on that website, though when I googled it it had tons of bad reviews.

Not sure if its a chain or not, the name says the name of company and "hotels and resorts" which implies its a chain and also its email address says ramada, the doors to rooms say Ramada but doing a bit of googling shows it hasnt been ramada for quite a while.

Oh come on, give us the address and we can google it! Other search engines are out there to be fair!

Always always check TripAdvisor. It only takes a couple of minutes.

I'm reading the reviews on that ex-Ramada hotel now. It's entertaining to read the reviews about crap hotels, though I feel slightly sorry for the people who've stayed there. Quite how they stay in business is beyond me, but I guess a lot of people don't check TripAdvisor etc before booking...

It's quite good fun to submit reviews. I was away over easter and submitted my 29th. (was a Premier Inn so I gave a good review as they're top notch for the money and this was no exception)

    Ohh, its that one....
Right on the edge of a rather rough council estate as well its an 'interesting' hotel.

If you need to stay in NUL again there is a Travelodge in the middle of the town center with ample parking which was only built about 18 months ago :D
