How to restore iphone 4g after jailbreak

I jailbreaked my iphone 4g,I now want to restore it back to how it was when new,as i am going to sell it,how do I do this properly please? I was told you had to do it a certain way,or it would be 'bricked'.........cheers.

Just sync with iTunes

Restore through iTunes. Syncing won't reset it.

It might be worth more if you keep it jailbreaked...

Hi Tronator,I recently had the same problem.Were you left with an error message after doing a restore.If you were google the error number and you will find details on how to fix the error.In my case I had to connect the iphone to my pc go into cydia and delete a file from a host file.After doing so i then went into itunes and then restored my phone with no problems.Hope this helps.

No,Cydia won't open,app is there,just will not open,so no use,all other apps work fine,in fact its nice,have 'Barrell' and 'icon bounce' on it,if I sell it jailbroken,how do I delete e-mail accounts and personal info etc from it?
