looking for a laptop for my dad..specs advise?

Options
hi

I'm looking for a laptop for my dad.. he only uses it for browsing the web, email and Skype so it needs a good built in camera.. what kind of specs should I be looking for? he wants it quite fast as his one now is so slow but he's not going to be storing loads on it or playing games..
any help would be great
thanks

Frankly pretty much any laptop you can buy fills this spec, how about having a look at the cheapies in Currys, then check it has a web Cam?

you say his current one is so slow you thought about reinstalling windows and doing a full format before hand at all as this usally sorts 99% of speed issues then that way no need to buy new laptop just make sure important photos and files backed up to usb stick or external hdd or disc.
that way is money really saved.
    hope it helps

Basically as I say, pretty much any laptop you can buy new now will outspec what your father needs.
