You could join the YHA; they have a place at Covent Garden that has family rooms.

There isn't a YHA hostel at Covent Garden, and you don't need to join to use the hostels any more (although it's cheaper if you are a member) but the general idea is a good one. Unfortunately the ones I've looked at for your dates either don't have private rooms available or are full, but I haven't checked them all, and it may be possible to find space by ringing them up. Of the ones I've stayed at I would recommend Holland Park and Central.

Why don't you try for an apartment? I've stayed with Think apartments in Earls court, and they have some at Tower Bridge too I think. It was a decent price when I stayed, but personally I like to book a hotel with room service - kids are grown up so just the 2 of these days :-D

Managed to get two Family rooms in Travelodge Stratford for £320, both rooms for 3 nights, quite decent.

One more question folks, my little brother has turned 17, will they complain about him sleeping on the sofa bed?

Well done, I doubt if they'll care who sleeps where.

Family rooms allow 3 people over 16. Or 2 adults and 2 children under 16? You cant have 4 people over 16 in one room though

When the TL catches fire and 4 bodies are found in the room? But i doubt even TL wouldn't stoop so low as to charge for over occupancy then!

I would think some observant staff might notice the size of party and ages, but In the case of the OP, as they have booked 2 rooms, it might be easier to sneek people through.

Its easy to sneak people through and they IMO would nevr know. It only takes one person to check in, they dont head count. As for ages they dont check ID so no way they would know

I think you are overthinking about those observant staff
