I am not very good with words but I saw this poem and it said all that I would like to say. xx
She is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone,
Or you can smile because she lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
That is so beautiful Squigs, thank you so much :AShortfatscotsbloke wrote: »3Dogs, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss today. Words escape me and I don't think I could say anything better than all your friends on the Elite have already said.
I came across a poem yesterday which seemed to describe my relationship with my FIL to a tee. Perhaps you might take something from it too?
Feel no guilt in laughter, she'd know how much you care.
Feel no sorrow in a smile that she’s not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever, she would not want you to.
She'd hope that you could carry on the way you always do.
So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you, a word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day,
That brings her back as clearly as though she were still here,
And fills you with the feeling that she is always near.
For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart
And she will live forever locked safely within your heart
Another beautiful poem, thank you SFSB with lots of hugs again for you too (((((((hugs)))))))
Thanks to everyone for their lovely words, I couldn't quote you all, but I appreciate each and everyone single word :A :AMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
