Hiya - my brother is being kept in another night as they need to find out why his bloods are going so fast. They have changed his meds a little and had just moved him onto Cardiology ward which is where my sister and I visited him this afternoon. He is feeling ok, but they say it appears that he had a very minor heart attack without knowing it
We will know more tomorrow I guess
I'll do my catching up now then  though I have noticed that the cheese and pepsi have finishedMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

I did s104 last year. I liked parts of it but there was so much information to take in and its so diverse! There's no big final exam though which I liked! Good luck
Sadly, there is a big exam this year :eek:Hiya - my brother is being kept in another night as they need to find out why his bloods are going so fast. Evening all
40 odd pages behind but before I catch up I want to let you know how last couple of days have gone.
Set off for bedford yesterday morning with dd still on a and e overflow ward. They had xrayed her bowel when admitted and found nothing of concern and tuesday they did ultra sound of ovaries due to her pcos. Few small cysts but not of any size and normal for her condition. This was tuesday mid day.
All the time dosing her up on co codamal and anti sickness drugs.
Wednesday around 3 pm we took dgd in to quickly see mummy in hospital cafe as not allowed on ward.
In the 27 hours since scan she had seen no one except for routine bp and administer drugs. Patients on trollies in corridor and although dd felt terrible she felt she was taking up a bed that was better needed elsewhere as she was not having any treatment or further tests. Of course she was desperately missing her little girl.
At 6.30 pm dd told staff she was going home and why. Eventually they let her leave but she had to return next day for prescribed drugs.
At home she went straight to bed.
Mum and I booked premier inn for night as didn't want to be far away.
Was back with dd this morning and after a lot of phone calls managed to locate where her prescription had ended up and collected it for her.
Anti sickness injections have now worn off and we are back to the beginning.
Luckily she has very good gp and has appointment for wednesday (didn't want earlier one as want to see if pain and sickness go away on their own.)
Now living where I do I have a great amount of respect for the nhs. This sort
of treatment would not happen in south kent. As bloods and urine where fine she would have been discharged with an appointment for a consultant within a couple of weeks.
Ringing my hair out and if no improvement in couple of days I will bring her and dgd back to mine to get treated.
Looking on the bright side at least she felt too ill to eat hospital food.
I am worried about her as with all the drugs for fertility over the last few years plus constant flying over the last nine her body has taken a battering.
I have a friend who is a bio medical scientist in nhs and is going to review all her tests for me which will hopefully put our minds at rest.
Right I hear the fun may of been curtailed for now so off to catch up.
