Someone just posted on 10 ways that in sainsbobs Coca-Cola 2L scanned at 2p, they bought 2 and a bogof of 2p also came off - even posted their receipt! Other people saying cashier may have made a mistake or it was a reduction. Who knows

I tried it with coke and coke zero, neither worked, and was within 30 mins each way of it being posted on 10 ways. The till did shudder sorting it out though and the words PRICE REDUCTION were on my recipt, so they may have fixed it.

(NB- I had already bought 2 coke zero before spotting it and ran back over to test the full fat coke!)
    Wishing you all good luck!

Very glad I did all of the shops I needed to do yesterday, even if it was knackering and at least I have 2 packs of cheese, might not get my head around shopping again until next week.

Youngest son has been away since last Friday in the lakes. He got an interview last week but he could not attend because of being away. So he rang them and asked if he could have the interview at their other centre, also in the lakes. They said yes and it was all arranged for yesterday. Where son and his mate were camping was only about an hour away from the centre so that was fine. It was a whole day interview so son had to take suit and all his paperwork.

Afterwards the interview they decided to cut short the camping trip far too cold at night to be camping out and they'd got fed up of freezing at night so they both headed for home. It would also give them extra days to work on their uni work.

Today I set off to see my Dad, usual problems getting distracted and side tracked so it was late when I finally left the house. I'd only got about 10 miles from home when my car starting shaking and rattling to bits.

So I rang OH who was about 20 miles away at the garage getting new tyres fitted on his car - also needed a new wheel as one was pot holed damaged. He got it organised for the chap to come out to tow my car in and then OH came to find me. It turned out the belt had shredded itself to bits on my car and so the chap towed it in .We went back home via sainsbobs - never got to my dads as it was too late in the day.

3rd major incident with my car in the last year - once had to go on the low loader, once I managed to drive it in and this time towed in - never happens when I am driving on home territory but always miles from anywhere and always on the long trips on Thursdays - also had new tyres and brake pads at mot time so I've spent endless amounts of money on it.

Back home son was still working away on his dissertation and a bit later he got a phone call. It turned out to be from the centre where he'd had the interview yesterday and they were very impressed with him and offered him the job!

So he starts in 5 weeks time, 30 hours a week on minimum wage but he will be doing his dream job and has a roof over his head and the start of his career and he will be living and working in the lakes which is exactly where he needs to be and wants to be. And straight out of uni with no workless gap in the middle :j

So we will be full time home alone parents a lot sooner than we expected but at least we have been doing some practicing for the last 2 years and haven't managed to kill each other so far.

In the meantime he has to finish his dissertation and uni work but at least he can get on with this without having to worry about job applications and interviews etc

Honestly if our lives were written up as a script for a tv soap it would be rejected as totally improbable :rotfl:

    Evening all

Sorry to read Mr A has put and end to all of your fun :p Hope you all got stocked up nicely.
I've not participated in an As glitch yet, bit too much time and effort required in the circumstances. Hoping for a nice easy Mr Ts mess up next :D

Got £4 voucher back on my T.com shop after i complained about being sent 6x568ml packs of Bulmers instead of 8x568ml packs and being charged the same. Ended up costing £6 for 12 bottles :T Quite happy with 50p per pint  Will be even better when I can have one. Hope DH hasn't necked them all by then

Not been feeling too well today. Chesty cough and low grade fever :( Have been monitoring things closely and stressing all day that i'm going to end up admitted for IV antibiotics. Thankfully temp down a little at the moment though did get within 0.1 degree of me needing to go in  I even bailed this afternoon and got MIL to come and help so I could go to bed. Feeling a little better after a rest.

Hopefully the injection I was given at the hospital to stimulate my white cells yesterday will start to work soon :) Think they messed up though :( They gave me the super duper one I was supposed to having after my chemo but it's long acting. Have read chemo should not be administered until 14 days after it is given..... maybe i'm looking at a 2 week rather than 1 week delay. It just gets better... :( Have tried to contact specialist nurse but no reply. Time will tell I guess.

3Dogs, hoping for some calmer days ahead for you and your family. Hope your brother is improving :A

Thinking of Tinyshoes and hoping you're looking after yourself :A

Sending healthy vibes to FloFlo, artha, Enterprise and anyone else feeling under the weather :A

Sorry you're not feeling so good today Logie. Wish our positive thoughts and good wishes could make you better. Thinking of you and sending big hugs Caz x

    Morning all
Dad is more comfortable nw he has a catheter(ouch) as he hadn't been for 24 hours, nurses marked him as getting up to toilet :(
Had to have a firm word with them as this is impossible in his situation, they took the notes and wouldn't bring them back.
He even left the hospital yesterday, he was delirious and got him self dressed and walked right out to see if he could see his car!!!
Nobody saw or challenged him, but mum arrived and found him.
They thought he was a bit senile so treated him as such.
He worked all day monday and was even chopping logs in the afternoon, I had to explain that he works more hours than me!!!!
    Sorry, rant over.
Hope we all have a peaceful, productive day. much love :)

    Hope recovers quickly hun. xxxx
