Does anyone know why Sainsbees is so hard to detect glitches in then, is it avoided because you need a £20 minimum spend.. or is it because they dont use MSM as a comparrison like Adsa does, so locating errors with Sainsbees relies on wombling and instore trial and error. I have been sat for over an hour again clicking things into the online basket, and its all adding up as it should be :( Blergh!

Adsa and Tosco are the stores of choice, has it always been like this?

Maybe they pay their IT guys more :rotfl:

    Hello again.
My shop tonight was - finally - done at 9.45pm:mad:. Way too late for my liking and until quarter to one a.m., of a new day, to enter it in:mad::mad::mad:. So expect later the first report of a failure to glitch.

I'd hadn't thought it was so late - my car clock's still on GMT. So a late one I'm afraid, although at least I can slow down a bit now and tell you about it. (I was still trying to complete the shop as quickly as possible - even if it had been the 8.45 I thought it was, by time I got there, 11.45pm receipt entry is still too late for my liking - not so much the hour of day, but the fact the offer details might click over.)

Anyway, completed my shop, waited behind another customer, wishing her to be dealt with quickly, and then my stuff was scanned through and the total announced. Great I thought and thank goodness for that, handed the SA my voucher and receipt from my last shop. Then... SA looked at it somewhat, and then "I can't accept this receipt..."

(Wondered, oh no has he looked at the items and been told 2x Fray Bentos must reject.)

Then he continued "...it's the wrong one!" and flashed it at me. "Yes, it is." I replied, on realising it was the receipt from another of my shops earlier on. Not having the right receipt with me, or so I thought, I simply paid in full with card - and voucher up for use next time.

But...comedy of errors. I got in my car and drove, but soon had to stop it to get out and retrieve the receipt from the shopping I've now done. The multibuys now may or may not glitch but, I thought, at least I have a trigger item not on MSM to interact with some sticky toffee puds. The multibuy was on the shelf in-store. But... did the multibuy come off instore?

So had to get out and check, and yes it did.
Got home (reason for choosing an SA was that you go through more quickly, without waiting for someone to approve your voucher on self-service)... and he's scanned my S/P loose apples as Golden Delicious (and thus charged me more)! No point correcting that and upsetting the whole thing.

The journey out, delayed, was a similar comedy. First my printer (when I tried to print off my planned shopping list) wanted ink changing. Then I spilt ink on the carpet and over me. Had to sort that out. Then I wanted the loo:eek:. Delay, delay, delay. Then couldn't find my house key (which I'd dropped down somewhere on arriving in) and had to borrow family's and go and get my spare car key. (Oh and computer on the way out also decided to do another updating - left it with my family to sort out.) Nightmare:rotfl::rotfl:.

[Edit: I found my correct receipt, at the bottom of my shopping bag, on arriving home, so had it all along. Although obviously not able to find it or spend time delving deep to try to find it in-store.]

What else have I got to say in the passing time between now and the receipt result?
Managed to get a womble - results on that not due till after 11pm though. They don't buy the right things do they? £2 fishcakes look like the ones N/A elsewhere. They've mix and matched the Solero and Wall's Feasts which neither of them are on offer elsewhere (unless it's very new and I haven't seen it yet). Some reduced item at 10p:(. And some Kitchen Roll at £3 - probably the Plenty 6 pack (usual price £4 odd) - seems just bound to lose everything for me. Why people buy 6pk kitchen rolls for even £3, as opposed to the 6pk ones in 99p stores I don't know. And they've got some soup at £1.12 (seems more expensive than it's usual £1 offer price, but bound to be a disaster with everyone else on £2 elsewhere). Enough...I'm sure you don't want another litany of people's shopping habits.

Savvybuyer I must say that I totally love your posts!

    :)

Do any of you coke drinkers think that coke zero is any good? i.e. does it taste sweeter/the same as diet coke?

It is a male taste. Females prefer the taste of diet coke. So tests show. I wouldn't say it is sweeter, just slightly different.

In this house we compromise and get caffeine free diet coke, which everyone seems to think acceptable.
