Oh, and on a recommendation from best friend's mother we caught the tram to Fleetwood market on the Sunday morning - the trams were heaving, it took ages to even get on one, we were soaked through, we got to Fleetwood and found the market - we were most underwhelmed! Thank you best friend's mum, not.
It was about 6 months later when I was reading Marie Claire and there was a supplement about Fleetwood DESIGNER OUTLET VILLAGE.......what??????????!!!!!!!!!!
Rang bf, she immediately rang her mother - her mother says ''oh yes I told you about it it was excellent all these discounted shops blah blah''. We ended up in some crummy indoor market selling old lady nighties and dog ornaments of dubious quality:eek:
Best friend and I have never got over it.
To be fair we probably never will.
A secret designer outlet village that everyone in Blackpool knew about.
Except us.
Oh Mildred....Fleetwood market is awful :rotfl::rotfl: I think it was good in its day but its just a shame it hasn't really moved with the times. In fact Freeport ( the outlet) village is really the only thing worth going there for0 -
