One of my pupils had courses through the OT - swimming, trampolining, and a bike riding course. Perhaps you should ask if there are any available for your son.

he has a trampoline and most days spends hours on it, in all weather!....apparently this enhances the sensory feedback. We did take him to a trampolining club for disabled ( mainly autustic ) children but he really struggled with the noise and the social side of it. He does go to a swimming club which he does enjoy. Hes making very! slow progress there but it's an hour a week 1 to 1 so he enjoys that

So very sad SD - hadn't realised he was so young. Do you mind me asking how long had you been together as a couple? - not being nosey just wondering..........

This thread can make for a sombre read.

    Finding peace with grief.

    I've stopped trying.

When it's there, no words can console the emotion.

You just have to let the tears flow.

My daughter would have been 13 last week.

When I go to lay flowers, I get a flash back of lowering her coffin the into grave.

Life can be tough as hell at times, but with good friends, dedication and effort, the better times are never to far away.

Have planned a £50 shop a S for tomorrow, after moc's hopefully should pay £30 and get back a £10 bm.

    Chin(s) up.
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

id like to do a few more but my freezers are full to bursting! and OH gets miffed if I buy too many heat in the oven meals. He likes to cook from scratch :o

on a totally different subject. Do you pickle your own stuff TM? we pickle onions but OH has been hankering over pickled onions justa like a his mama used to make :rotfl: apparently she used to add some spices to them. Any ideas?

You can buy pickling spice, they are a little strong,I tend to use wine vinegar to pickle onions makes a change and not so pungent.
I also make piccalili and lots of jams and different pickles, produce from my allotment.
Cucumber sliced with a potato peeler and pickled is nice.

frequent what a touching post :( more so coming from you, hope you don't mind me saying that. You're lovely dry sense of humour and your no nonsense approach are what usually comes across to me in your posts.

I think we can all take something from each others heartache here. Im getting advice about my son who's in an unfortunate position.....and then I read your post and realise how lucky I am to have him :(

bless you lovey and thanks for sharing :A

We have just used malt and distiller vinegar....but I will look out for the pickling spices. If he wants strong....:rotfl::rotfl:

It's his egg pickling that's getting on my goat...I can't stand pickled eggs:eek:

Frequent how flipping awful. I notice the way you do a quick switch to talking about your Sainsbury's shop - that is the way you cope I suppose otherwise you'd go daft.

On a similar switch I was telling my OH about you losing your job as a masseur;);) - laughed til he cried........he is going to have to steal that one:A

This is one of the many reasons i read this thread daily, yep glitches are wonderful and tbh that is what brought me here in the first place as a lurker a few threads back, but just knowing that people really care even while going through their own personal hell just restores my faith in humanity.
I don't post, would love to as i find you all hilarious but don't feel i can butt in on your "family" so to speak, but feel a part of it never the less.

My heart and thoughts go out to all of you who are suffering in more ways than show tonight

All contributions are welcome.....it's what makes this wonderful thread what it is. you would be welcomed and no one would think you were butting in....I think we've all felt like that when we started posting. This thread changes all the time. People come and go. I think Alot of people end up here when things change in their lives, or they're looking for something. Dont lurk :)

For those with pet insurance, I'm looking to insure Sam, but how does the excess work?
I have done a quote with Morethan, and the basic 'accident only' cover is £8 per month. The excess is £75.
If it was something minor, say a sprained leg or something, would it be worth claiming, or would a vet charge less than £75 to treat it?

I've never had pet insurance before and never made a claim on any other. :o

We were with Argos- excelent value but they sold to another company and rather than renew with them wewent with Pets At Home- very good value for money. mind you we don't have to make claims as he's only a young dog.
