Just bought one £1 bag of almonds incase kids did not like - they don't as they are not sweet as the fudco ones.

Thankyou Fire Fox I have a £5 off till spit for Tesco's so this would be great. I have stopped doing main shop there as they are more expensive then Asda for me but every little helps : )

I don't do my main shop there for the same reason, just nip in and out for specific cheap items ... especially those in the World Foods section! :p Good prices on larger bags of dried spices, canned tomatoes and chick peas, dried lentils, coconut oil, creamed coconut etc.

I love cashews and brazil nuts, but the kids don't like them and the same for mixed bags. So it would save me money to only get what the kids will eat rather then what I will eat.
You sound like a lovely mum!

Ramadan is only 3 months away and Asda (Beckton, Leyton) sell big bags of Natco / Fudco nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios) at lower prices around that time, and usually have a year's expiry date so I stock up then.

Thankyou VfM4meplse, Thats a good idea.

It's weird Fire Fox at one point Tesco was cheaper for me but now Asda is? For tomatoes and chick peas Asda are good with the 4 for £1.

I know that you get good offers on nuts and raisins around Ramadan and Dewali...but we go through one big bags each of these every month. The kids believe these to be sweets and treat them as such, and we carry them around with us when we or the kids go out as a snack.

    Thankyou All for your help
