A question for the nut fans

Options
Like many people on here I am trying to cut back what I spend on the shopping.

Once a month I buy big packets of walnuts and almonds and raisins as my son's enjoy them as a daily treat and to carry around in their bags when we are out and about.

At the moment I buy from one of the local asian shops in Eastham, I pay £9.49 for 600g of walnuts and £6.29 for 700g of almonds, the company is Fudco.

I've had a look online but some of the prices are a shocker!

Do you know some where I can get these cheaper?

Thanks for all your help:)

Almonds and walnuts are cheaper in Tesco atm. Almonds are £1.52 per 200g which works out at £6.08 for 800g.
Walnuts are £2.25 for 200g which is £6.75 for 600g.

I used to get mine from Lidl or ASDA. Morrisons does nuts too I got a load recently on a BOGOHP offer at Holland & Barrett.

I think in supermarkets and retail shops these are costly only.We normally buy them at wholesale shops and now brought from my place only.

Check Tesco Express as they have 200g packs of almonds for £1 - £1.52 in other Tesco stores.

I have been buying from Lidls lately.I mainly eat cashews and brazils and these are both £1.99 for 200g,there are also walnuts at the same price and bags of mixed nuts too.I always used to buy from Julian Graves, they used to have good offers on nuts,it was a shame that they closed.

Thankyou, I'm off to a tesco express - will let you know if I get lucky.

I love cashews and brazil nuts, but the kids don't like them and the same for mixed bags. So it would save me money to only get what the kids will eat rather then what I will eat.
I get the odd home made nut mixes from my mum when she has bought some and do try and get the little ones to taste - buts it's work in progress. They may feel different when they are a little older (they are 5, 3 and 11months).

Tesco sell them in the World Foods section
    - Fudco walnuts £2.39 for 200g (£7.20 for 600g)
    - Aasani almonds £5 for 750g
    - own brand walnut pieces £2 for 200g (£6 for 600g)

Asda and Morrisons also have World Foods sections which would be worth checking out given you are near an Asian area.

Thankyou Fire Fox I have a £5 off till spit for Tesco's so this would be great. I have stopped doing main shop there as they are more expensive then Asda for me but every little helps : )
