Where to go end of Oct?

Hi,
I am off work on during the last week of October and first week in November.
We fancy taking a weeks holiday and don't want to go too far, maybe 5 hours at most.
I'm thinking Sharm or Canaries - where would be the best place for that time of the year?
(We were in Tunisia a couple of years ago so don't fancy that and Morocco doesn't appeal. Open to other ideas though).

If you want heat, then it's Sharm.
But look at prices, it's school half term near then.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
That time of year you'll be fairly safe for decent weather along the Aegean or Mediterranean coasts of Turkey.
Lots of areas to choose from, do a bit of research on Trip Advisor.0 -
Think you will be too late for Turkey. I seem to think the resorts close end of October when there is a nip in the air.
Well I see last flight out of Dalaman is Nov 3rd (it reverts to a military base)
Some years ago I went in October, think it was the last 2 weeks and Dalyan closed up whilst we were there! there was also a nip in the air.
I suggest Canaries
Weather in west Cape Verde islands (Sao Vicente) was lovely late October however the package tours only seem to go to Sal & Boa Vista which are flat & sandy. Some of the others have amazing scenery especially Sao AntaoBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

They fly into Antalya all year round so the op could do that side of Turkey. I go every october half term its pot luck weather wise last year the weather in Gran canaria was awful but Benidorm, turkey and Tunisia had fab weather, but the year before Gran canaria was fantastic. Unfortunately weather wise its the luck of the draw.0 -
I've been to the Greek islands, Corfu, Rhodes at the end of October, but not at half term. They are lovely and the sea is still warm. You could help their economy

We went to Hurghada (Egypt) in the middle of November last year. The weather was perfect. Warm sunny days and pleasantly mild evenings. The days are short though as it is dark by 5pm and the heat is going by 4ish.0
