East midlands airport - dropping off poor signage - beware

I dropped somoene off at East midlands airport today, and that place has gone downhill even further than before...
Upon entering your faced with three traffic lanes to access the car park/drop off area none of which are well marked out , pick the wrong one and it will cost you £2.20 instead of £1.
not only that but if you do end up in the more expensive car park the layout is incredibly poor and confusing the end result being that you have to pull up to one side, whilst the person gets out, and then you need to try and find one of the hidden pay machines to pay thats when i realised the £1 fee was actualy £2.20.
The car park attendants werent much help either and seemed to be doing no more than wandering round with small point and shoot cameras, instead of helping people to the correct car park/drop off area.
Although £1.20 doesnt sound much, thanks to the confusing layout there were other people also stopped unloading in odd places around what I now know to be the short stay car park.
All paying £1.20 above the £1.00 rate.
All in all a nice little earner for the airport as theres probably quite a few people over the space of a day/week/money/year doing likewise.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm sure it will help some. Re your comments about the car park attendants, you are mistaking a company which MANAGES the car park with the current one which is there to make money, the two are not the same.:rotfl:I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
