Looking for Evian offers
Options
Before anyone leaps down my throat and tells me to drink tap water, ours is unbelievably hard and comes out of the hot tap looking like milk, I kid you not. I have to clean the limescale filter in the kettle every week. I've also lived abroad and been used to drinking bottled water.
Neither OH or I drink alcohol now so we figure that saves enough to drink bottled water and we like Evian.
I got 48 x 50cl bottles for just over £10 earlier this year from Shorters Club but since they didn't bother emailing back let alone refunding me for the Heinz organic biscotti which were three months out of date and NOT advertised as such or reduced/on offer i don't feel inclined to buy more from them now.
mysupermarket has 2 x 50cl sixpacks for £4 at Ocado, Tesco, Sainsbury's and ASDA.
Has anyone seen them anywhere in bigger packs please or cheaper than that ?
Thanks in advance x

Costco have offer on water bottles but it's the small 330ml highlander ones0

Hi
Shorters club went out of business I believe.
I havent seen Evian cheap anywhere apart from the 2 for £4 offer.
I have seen you do an Ocado on line shop, is it worth taking advantage of the on line shopping first time discounts from the others and just buying Evian?
Amazon have some but it does not seem very cheap to me.
Approved foods do have water but no Evian.0 -
Why are you so particular about Evian? You can buy 2 litre bottles of Still Water own brand in T's for 17p a bottle.0

Don't know about you but I can taste the difference, still I buy whatever is on offer as I only need a few bottles for the summer for the kids to take with them but my eldest (nearly 5) prefers the highlands one.
If you go with price then Kirkland bottles work out cheaper (I believe).0 -
If it must be Evian, you should get the 2 litre bottles from Tesco. They currently have it on offer at 2 for £1.50.
This works out at 37.5p per litre.
Whereas the 500ml bottles you mentioned work out at 67p per litre.
Also, have you thought about trying a Brita filter?0 -
I have tried water filters and we even have an electronic filter fitted in the house but our tap water still comes out like 99% chalk. I don't drink a lot of tea or coffee therefore.
Evian is so much softer than the local water, it just tastes so much nicer to me. It also has a low sulfate and nitrate level compared to lots of other bottled waters.
I fully admit that it looks cheaper to buy big bottles, but if they are opened and not finished then it's an expensive way of watering plants.
A 50cl bottle is easy to carry, will fit in a bag or trouser pocket and it's not a daunting size to try and glug. It's easy to keep track of how much water we've drunk and easy to store the bottles in the fridge.
I have used ASDA, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose online in the past so I wouldn't get first order offers unfortunately as that's a great idea. Often supermarkets limit how many packs of water you can buy in one orderOcado gives SmartPass holders a 10% discount but I only use it when I can't find a better offer.
Maybe I can negotiate a deal with a local shop that uses Bookers...0 -
6x50cl bottles are £1.17 at co-op until tuesday0

I'm confused by your initial statement....if you buy 2 litre bottles they do keep, water like that has at least a years use by date so theres no need to be concerned about it not being "finished".
Also, would it not be better for the environment as a whole to buy one pack of the 50cl bottled water, keep the bottles when they are done with, and then refill them from a larger bottle? Then you're not constantly throwing out plastic into the rubbish.
