Hi
What is right ,
I am still married but husband left some years ago never paid any maintenance or a settlement he lived/worked abroad , so our laws could not touch him , he did buy a house in his sole name here so a charge was put on it ,
Me and 3 kids one disabled were rehoused by the council due to them classing ours as unfit to live in ( which was in joint names with husband )
Now his house ( here ) is mortage free and wants to sell it ( he also has a house in canada with girlfriend so I have now gone back to court to ask for monies due to me.
Solictors told me I will get monies due but the judge said I am not entitled as it was not the matrimonial home but I though anything brought while married was taken into account .
He did walk away scott free as all his dets were paid from sale of our home .

Is he the father of your children? Does he pay any maintenance to you for them?0

Did you get something from the sale of the joint home when it was sold? Is the charge for what he owes in maintenance?0

Hi
He is the father of all 3 kids within our marriage since 73 , I have never had another partner , he never paid any monies for anything from when he left he just sent a letter .
Money left over from sale of house (not much) is held in a bank who have lost account but solictor is trying to sort it out .0 -
I'd say you need a divorce law solicitor! How 'legal" and enforcable is the payment of maintenance? I.e. Do you have a legal claim against this house he owns?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
