Under the rules of the site the brokers who post are not allowed to give recommendations to specific lenders/products in the open forum. It would also be a grey area with the FSA as it could be defined as 'advice' had been given. Also the brokers on the site are not allowed to recommend other brokers, forum users or not.

You are perfectly at liberty to contact an broker you wish by PM for further specific help however it must be your choice.

Hope that clarifies it for you.

I've received 2 PM's from brokers from this Site...

Is this against the Rules for the Forum???

Most definately against the forum rules.

Please report them to abuse or name and shame them publically.

Brokers are not allowed to approach posters by PM or other means to try and secure business. It is down to the poster if they feel they want to approach a broker by PM.

Look at it this way, would you want to deal with someone who is so desperate for business that they are touting on a chat forum for clients?

    Poor show, diabolical !!
