Hi, I reglarly park for travel to london and pay £5 per day by phone.
Back in september i must have forgotton as i received a Parking enforcement notice from Civil Enforcement ltd wanting £150 or £75 if i paid in 14 days. I followed advise i found on line and have ignored several letters from CEL , but have today received the official court papers, claiming damages in the sum of £350, for a ticket i forgot to buy which would have cost £5! please can someone help with some advise as to what i should do next. Thanks!

Go straight to pepipoo, post all available info, remove personal data. Do not answer any PM's from anyone less than 500 posts. Pepipoo will furnish you with the details of how to go about beating these clowns.
ps. Have you phoned Northampton or the number on the papers to confirm its genuine and not just a frightner?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
a pre october ticket as well, they need to prove who was driving the vehicle, as the registered keeper is very often not the driver.

You need to acknowledge the claim, say you will defend it in full, and ask for an extra 28 days to defend the case. If you do that now on the link they have provided you know its then real, and done. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you.
