Mobility scooter insurance

My boyfriend bought a brand new mobility scooter in January which came with three months free insurance and breakdown with Premier Care insurance.
The renewal has just come through the post and is £75 for standard and £99 for the better insurance.
Is it me or is this really expensive? He keeps his scooter inside his house overnight and when he stops over at mine it is dismantled and brought indoors.
Can anyone else with a mobility scooter recommend a good insurance company or got a cheaper quote when they renewed.

Have you tried Blue Badge Mobility Insurance? They're very reasonable and the cover looks good.0

that sounds about right.. it is expensive.
I use FISH insurance too they also insure me for my carers but the council pay for that.. so to em that suggests they must be a good company, but they have been great on the phone.
They called to ask why i hadnt reneweda few years back an di said i wasnt welle nough to take it out they jsut apologised for inconveniencing em and didnt hound on phone or email as a different company did so I quite like them.
Do check your house insurance.. i am guessing if he keeps it in the house it is a smaller scooter so may be covered just like bicycles can be.. worth a look.0 -

I have been trying to insurance my portable mobility scooter to cover for taking it away with me. I have found so far all the insurance companies I've contacted have stopped public liability insurance for North USA and Canada, which I get but the US is well catered for people with disabilities and we like to travel about but I am not happy to without insurance, I have even tried to get it on my travel insurance with no success ...Has anyone found the same0
