Ticketline?? More like Take it Line!

I ordered 4 tickets to see a performer from ticketline online about a month ago. The price was £38 pounds for each ticket and there was a £5 booking fee per ticket which I understand and was happy to pay to get the tickets.
I elected to have the tickets sent out to my address their email stated that "You will receive your tickets at least 1 week before the event or
5 days after you have made your booking if it is booked within 12 days of the event." However about two weeks after I had booked the tickets ticketline emailed me stating the performer had cancelled the concert.
They said under their terms and conditions they would refund the full face value of any tickets sent out by return.
I emailed them telling them I had not received the tickets so would I get a full refund? They ignored this and said I would get a full face value refund. The booking fee covered their expenses for running a website and running a call centre.
I kept a check on my bank and no refund came through. This morning (a month on) they have refunded the face value after little chasing.
The way I see it is this ; this has left me £20 poorer for booking some tickets which didn't arrive and then the event was cancelled.
At least if I had the tickets in my hand I would not have minded so much.
Lesson learned or bad luck I dunno....

thats standard practice for any tickets
it is a pain an you do feel ripped off but its how it is0 -
I keep hoping Martin will take on these ticket companies about the ludicrous 'booking fees' - they seem to vary so wildly, and I can't help thinking that a little regulation would at least mean we would know what to expect when we book tickets for an event. I find it galling to have to pay for the privilege of 'booking' even when I do it myself over the internet and ask to pick the tickets up from the box office. I think a more realistic fee structure is in order, and a more transparent system for cases like the above!0
