hi
i was wondering if anyone can offer some advice.
i received a "fee to pay" card this morning with a charge of £21.44.
I haven't bought anything from overseas recently, the only thing i am expecting is part of my record collection (purchased over 15 years ago) that my mum was shipping to me by sea from Australia. I received one box just after Christmas, which was delivered by Yodel, for some reason, but with no fees.
Do I have to pay a charge on something i haven't actually paid for and have owned for 15 years?
I just want to get my facts right before i go to the delivery office later.
thanks

Seeing as there is no way for everybody in the delivery chain to know this isn't a commercial import, I guess they have treated it as such?0

yes, i suppose so.
I paid it and was told to appeal to HMRC. There is no phone number apparently, has to be done in writing.

You need to get a form from HMRC and fill it in, not that tricky but just general hassle. Is it worth it has to be the question?0
