FlexDirect accounts have been breeding!!

Options
I opened 2 FlexDirect accounts at the begining of the month...
I went onto Nationwide, online banking, this morning and I have now got 4 .
Unfortunately the money hasn't doubled.....

I will have to wait until after the long weekend to get this mystery sorted.

You do realise that they'll only pay the 5% on one of your accounts, as discussed here:

Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right! :D

    Yes quite aware, thanks.

The first account 'timed out' before I completed the application,
the second was an upgrade from a Flex account. (both done in the same evening)

I must have got far enough through the first application for it to be successful!

How the other 2 have arrived, I have no idea!

Seems odd that everone prefers to believe a random poster on a Web forum, who doesn't even specify how he/she knows, over a Nationwide Customer Services advisor they spoke to on the phone.

Within that thread (maybe you didn't get to page 2?) is a link to the Nationwide FlexDirect FAQs, which state...
You can open up to four Nationwide current accounts, however you are only guaranteed the 5% AER promotional interest rate on one FlexDirect account.
...but all will be revealed this coming week when the first interest payments are made.

and its also stated in the T&Cs, although slightly less clear.

This would overrule any Nationwide staff member.

Does the fact that I have been paid interest on 2 accounts mean more.

Got the full interest on £2500 from date paid in.

Paid the 5% on the 5 days that another £2500 was in the account before I removed it thanks to advice from here.

Think I am going to fill up both my accounts now.

    I've just checked, and I have 4x £8.33 interest in 4 accounts.

Same here. 4 accounts, £9.70 interest in each (gross)

Why Nationwide generate the interest as 2 transactions is a bit weird though (deposit and withdrawal for the tax).

Yep I got 5% interest on all 4 flexdirect accounts so people like Hominu and mrmajika who were spouting off about the T&Cs not allowing more than 1 flexdirect to get 5% interest we're just chatting cr*p. They must be eating humble pie right now....ha
