Advice please. Have posted already on N Ireland thread. Rgularly read my meter although pay by direct debit. Due to heavy snow was unable to read from 18the Feb. Read this morning and has gone from 4590 to 5390 which would be many times our normal usage.Highest usage in last snow was 121 for a month. Took following reading with heating off.

8.00 am 5390
8.51 5407
10.35 5440
11.04 5780 (turned heating on)
11.06 5825 off)
11.13 5839
We haven't used gas except for 2 mins and meter has gone from 5390 to 5839 in about 3 hrs. I need to put heating on but am terrified what it will rack up before I can speak to someone when the office opens next week after holidays. We are looking at about £400 racked up in 12 days. The meter is just wizzing round as I look at it. Advice please

Put the heating on and enjoy yourself this easter. Nothing is going to be sorted until next week now and it's not possible to consume this amount in 2 minutes:
    11.04 5780 (turned heating on)
    11.06 5825 off)

Call your supplier whenever they are next open. You will get a new meter and be charged on an estimated basis for the period the meter was faulty.

    So take advantage :)
