Premier Inn - Don't be caught out!

All good feedback so thanks again, peeps, and deffo food for thought. The particular PI where I booked only opened a few months ago (pretty sure I was one of the first to stay there) and it was v e r y quiet so that's another reason (excuse?) why I didn't bother to let them know. Of course, they did have my direct contact details so IF there had been people desperate for a room then they always had the option to contact me I guess.....

Joking apart, after all the input I'll deffo try and cancel my non-cancellable reservations in future if applicable and see if I'm offered a refund (or voucher to offset against my next stay) .
