ITV player - Internal Error message received

A couple of days ago watched an episode of Corrie and wanted to watch another but all I got was
Internal Server Error - Read
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Have tried many times to use ITV player but to no avail. Always getting an error message with different reference numbers. I just cannot get on to ITV player so cannot contact ITV to send them an email for help.
Can watch some programmes on UTV Player. Does this help in trying to work out what / where the problem lies ? I am of the older generation so am "technologically challenged".
I have adobe flash no. 11 so think that I am up to date.

What day was this? ITV player over the last few months has been buggy as hell for me but the last 3 days has seen an unprecedented attack on certain sites, of which I believe ITV is one of the,m causing it to slow.
