What are these premium numbers?

Please can anyone tell me what these numbers at the end of this post are. I received my BT bill and was shocked that there is over £80 worth of premium calls made  I've never phoned them and i'm wondering if any of my kids have, but i need to know what they are phoning. BT wouldn't tell me they just gave me the numbers, i've arranged for these premium numbers to be barred now.

0906 343 ????

0906 900 ????

Plug the full numbers into the ICSTIS number checker.

From BT's price list (pdf), the two numbers are charged at £1.50 per min.

A payphone is probably a bit overkill, you'd be better off with a device called a Phone Guard. They're readily available for less than a fiver off eBay.

It fits over the BT socket (you'll need one for each extension socket you have), and you program in (up to 20) allowed numbers. You can be as specific as you like (e.g. 07 would allow all mobile calls, whereas 07123456789 would only allow calls to that mobile).

Also, I'd advise you check out a guide by Heinz. It lists ways to save money on your home phone calls. You could even get an orchid dialler, which automatically routes calls to other providers based on type of call and time of day information (check out how to get 20% off first).

Apparently not exclusively. A quick Google search suggests that they are also used for ringtones and other mobile phone entertainment.

One was for Habbo and the other was a password generator number for online games. He's paying it back none the less

This very thing has just happened to me and my children are 5 and 6! I had no idea that the scoobby do type games on sky were chargable and neither did they.

I have had all 09 numbers banned from my line.

No wonder sky sending you stinking letters whenn the phone line is unplugged from it!
