Has anyone else got a problem or is it my computer?
Starting today, it won't play anything, Radio or TV. The iplayer window opens, but the picture area remains blank with no error messages and no response of any kind.

Mine's fine, just tried it out. Have you updated anything or made any changes recently?0

Just tried mine and it's fine playing live and catchup on both tv and radio programmes.0

No, nothing as far as I can see. Might have shut the computer down without closing a window that was playing Smooth Radio, not sure. (Smooth plays in a media player window, not internet explorer.)0

I Player has been screwed for the majority since November 2012. I'm surprised to find it's working for so many still on here- I had to ditch it months ago and use WMP downloads instead.
OP a forum such as https://www.catchupsupport.co.uk has suggestions for fixes but for many it is just not working full stop.
The BBC team have been working for months without resolution to find a cause- it all started with a bad Air update but reverting to older versions didn't work for many or only worked temporarily- and other problems have started since then. They have issues across the majority of their platforms with I Player just not working properly.0 -
Alot of the help stuff seems to be referring to "downloading", which I assume means making your own copy on a local storage device. Some fixes suggest uninstalling iplayer, but I haven't got anything to uninstall.
All I'm trying to do is play a program not download it, and until yesterday that worked fine just by clicking on the relevant program thumbnail. I haven't a clue where to start looking, so I suppose the prog I want to see will have gone by the time it's sorted.0 -

Might mean full download as per IPlayer options then Play once downloaded . Instead of downloading and watching useful for slower connections .
