Hi everyone, i owe £4000 on my credit card, they are charging me £75 each month for interest.
I would like to transfer to another credit card with a long interest free period so i can pay off the debt instead but i have just been turned down by the tesco credit card that offers 25 months at 0%.
I have just checked my credit score using noddle and it says i have a poor one, even tho i have had no missed payments etc over the last 12 months.
I dont want to keep trying different cards if i am going to get turned down as i understand this affects my rating also.
Does anyone have any advise on my situation?
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance

Credit ratings/scores mean diddly squat. Banks are not lending anymore. If you are close to your limit on this card and have other credit facilities
Are you still using the card? Or is there a permanent block on it and you are just repaying the balance?
If you keep applying for many cards in a short space of time, to the lenders, it looks like you are over-committing yourself.DEBTFREE AND PROUD!!0 -
Thanks for the reply Better_Off_1983, I havent used the card for about a year and there is no block on the card, im paying about £75 in interest and about £10 off the balance each month as this is all i can afford at the moment.
I was hoping to transfer to a card with no interest so 100% of the money could pay the debt of and not just the interest.0 -

You only refer to having no negative marks in the last 12 months???
Do you have any negative information in the last 6 years???
Do you have any other credit facilities???I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.
Don't rely on anything I write as it may be wrong!!!0 -
If you do obtain a 0% balance transfer card, make sure you close this on so the temptation is not there to run up more debt.DEBTFREE AND PROUD!!0

It might be worth applying for a Barclaycard.
Barclaycard have approved three friends and myself for cards in recent weeks and none of us have particularly rosy credit histories.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
