Options
My OH was diagnosed with cancer a couple of years ago. He also has glaucoma, deafness, high blood pressure etc.He is now having trouble using his hands e.g using the kettle, ptting on his socks and trousers, also he just cannot bend down and is always dropping things. We wondered if he would be eligible for Attendance Allowance or any other help.

You can have a look at some of the criteria here:

    http://www.ageuk.org.uk/documents/en-gb/factsheets/fs34_attendance_allowance_fcs.pdf?dtrk=true

AA isn't awarded because of your illnessess, it is awarded because of the care needs that you have.

Sorry, missed the bit about 'other help'. Did you mean financial help or aids etc?
