This 'RTI Basic paye tools' downloading business ??

Hi there,

I am really rubbish at anything vaguely techy-so i knew this would be a nightmare for me.

HMRC have confirmed that all the new RTI downloads are ready-they went live yesterday. Yet when I have tried to download it today (I'm downloading the' new users' version for windows-HMRC basic paye tools as we have less then 9 employees)-it only says version 13.0.13071.41 and it should be version 4.2.1.20469. I would ring them but they are now closed. I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this and could shed any light?

Any info gratefully received

Many thanks

Hi, that is the correct version number for the new RTI version of the PAYE tools. Just follow through the download and follow through the instructions and it should work fine for you.

I was told the new version isn't available until 2nd April. As we need to start using it for the first pay day after 6th April, this is going to be hell, quite frankly.

Thanks Nikki, I was looking at the version required for 12/13-what a Numpty I am. I think I have read so much about this RTI that my brain is fuddled. I have downloaded it all now-and that was very straightforward-so fingers crossed it's all plain sailing from here on in. thanks so much again for replying-I appreciate it.

is this going to result in another hmrc fiasco ?
i'm sure if you work in a large company then you pay is sorted out every month on the same day , but if you are like me and get paid at the end of the job sometimes i can have no money at all if the job takes over a month

Isn't this the new system brought in for purposes of Universal Credits. If someone in employment and receives Child/Working Tax Credits does extra hours this system informs HMRC therefore the claimants benefit is adjusted.

If so sounds good in one respect, will hopefully stop the massive overpayments being made
