Hello,
I live in England, already have Halifax account, opened online Classic Account in Bank of Scotland. now I can see it listed when I log on to Halifax online banking / is it normal? / but cannot add vantage to it / money is in it / .Is there any way to do it while logged on through Halifax?
Will BoS send me seperate online banking account details?
Thanks

The first step is to test whether your Halifax login details work on the BoS site. I found that mine did when I opened a BoS Classic Account and that they didn't send me a new BoS account login. Halifax had actually changed my username recently and I discovered that it was the old username that worked on BoS so if your Halifax account opening pre-dated the Lloyds takeover, I guess this would almost certainly work.
When you actually get access to both sites, you will find you can do most transactions from either site but things like opening and upgrading accounts will require you to access via the correct site.0 -

It is normal to see your Halifax and Bank Of Scotland accounts together when you log into Halifax online banking.
As you opened an account with BOS separately they will send you separate log in details for there online banking system.
When they do this you will log onto BOS online banking and you will be able to see your Halifax accounts on that system too. You can only apply for Vantage on your BOS classic account via BOS online banking only.
This is because Halifax don't offer vantage on there accounts, or if you want to do it before then, call BOS customer services as I think they can add vantage onto your account too.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
As others have said, normal to see all accounts.
I have BOS online banking and whenever I have a Halifax credit card, it shows up.
My recently opened Halifax Rewards account also shows up.
Now, if only the would show the Lloyds and IF accounts to and make things a lot easier for me
You should be able to add Vantage but might need to hunt around for the option.0 -
They may well send you internet banking log-on etc, but if your Halifax ones already work to log in via the BOS website, then just ring BOS and tell them you do not want to use the stuff they sent you.
This happened to me and there was no problem, they just cancelled the new stuff.0
