i have been 'upgraded' to outlook from Hotmail- what an irony
the problem is thee is a huge column of info on the right hand side asking me to link this that and the other, its all rubbish to me, but the problem is i cant get rid of it (on the old Hotmail i could close them with a click under 'ad choices' but there is no such in this) and now because of this i can only see the first few letters of each email heading.
my screen on 800 x 600 resolution, apart from increasing the resolution to see the title of each email, can i remove the row?
TIA

You don't say which browser you use.
I have firefox and have the AdBlockPlus AND Ghostery Extensions and don't see these things you speak of.0 -
Similar to J B only I'm using Chrome with Adblock Plus and my right hand column is empty.0

hi and thanks for the replies
im on Firefox with Ad Block Plus to, when the changed first happened from hotmail to outlook ABP was on and nothing was showing in the column, just a big blank column hampering my viewing, i switched ABP off and the ad choices was shown, however Ive switched ABP back on and now the column has disappeared
i don't know what changed between the first time and now but it look like its working OK now0 -

oh well spoke to soon, who designed this - its just unbelievable
if i put ABP on it shows full screen but it wont let me go into email or let me delete as the top bar has gone.
if i switch ABP off, then i can go into emails and the top bar returns, BUT so does the large column on the right hand side.
I have also tries on I.E. 8 ( im on XP) and it also shows the column on the right, so either way im stuffed.0 -
Have you tried the 'Ghostery' extension?0

Installed ghostery on FFOX but has not made any difference.
Still the same problem.
I have now linked some photos, as below
1)If I stop ABP the column appears as below

2) If I start ABP then I can see the full screen but the mouse counter just shows as loading all the time and I cant open emails or do anything.

It’s the same for IE8 too.
Bizarrely im typing this from IE8 on my laptop, just tried Outlook and its perfect, no column and I can use as normal, not sure why its OK on laptop but not on desktop.0
