How much is that doggy in the window,........
The one with the waggly tail.
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

EDIT Hello Dianne B we are obviously from the same era. And my wife is also a Dianne (with two 'N's) Me - March '45. You -?[/QUOTE]

Hello, nice to meet you! I was born in August '54. It's often easy to judge a person's age by their name, I know loads of Janet's and Susan's as well as other Dianne's!!

Just listened to "My Son, My Son" on youtube, it was worse than I expected!!
    Slightly bitter

Phil Collins - A Groovy Kind of Love

DH would be The Flying Pickets - Only You

Off to Youtube them and have a listen.

ETA: I've actually heard them both before, several times!

What was at Number 1 in the charts, on the day you were born?

Mine was 'Tie a Yellow Ribbon' by Dawn. Now I feel old :o

My eldest son was 'Sound of the underground' Girls Aloud

Youngest son was 'Push the button' Sugababes :rotfl:

Unbelievably apt as youngest has been pushing every button and boundary known to man ever since he arrived. He looks angelic but is the devils child.

That was so funny as I can actually hear Yellow Ribbon being played at the little club next door

    Big Bad John .
  • Can't believe I haven't looked it up before now!

Me: Skweeze Me Pleeze Me by Slade
    DD1: Run by Leona Lewis
DD2: Sing (ft Miliatary Wives) by Gary Barlow and The Commonwealth Band

    Great thread

Those are cool songs Sally. I wish my birthday song was as cool as that. 'Tie a yellow ribbon' doesn't really cut it for me :rotfl:
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

  • It's dawned on me that I really must be as old as my children tell me - nearly all the songs posted hold happy memories for me dancing in discos or nightclubs.... at least I misspent my youth behaving badly! So lots of memories to make me smile on a quiet Saturday night in these days ;)

Cliff Richard and the Shadows "Please Don't Tease" - nope, I can't remember it either!

for my DD it was 'Mull of Kintyre'. I hated it and she hated it from birth - she cried if that came on even as a newborn.
