Assuming you have ftp access to upload your content then use Filezilla to download the root directory of your sites http://filezilla-project.org/download.php

    1) Download FileZilla, the free ftp client.

    2) Login to your ftp account, which you create via your web hosting control panel (normally called CPanel) if the web hosting company hasn't supplied you with one already - they normally email you your default ftp details when you first open an account with them.

    3) Once logged into your ftp account via filezilla you will see two windows. The left window has a preview of your computer files inside it and the right window has a preview of your website files inside it. Simply download the website files (and folders) into a folder on your computer.

Select all the content from the right window, right click over that content and select COPY. Now click inside a folder on the left window and then do a right click PASTE.

The above will give you a local copy of your website folders/files. Better still, ask the person who programmed/made your website to give you the folders/files. If they used a template of some sort or built-in (CPanel) website maker just do the above but COPY & PASTE the whole of the www or html folder from within your website folder (right window). THe CPanel also allows you to make a backup anyway, so the above method is for those wanting their html files, photo and video files.

Also look for "WebDEV" if you are using C-Panel

It's a way to remotly add your website's folders as a "network" drive on your PC so you can drag and drop things easily.
