Can anyone point me in direction of help about what to take off my iPhone and where/how to save it. I'm having an iPhone 5 and am selling the iphone4. I can download my music again and retrieve my photos as I'll have transferred them to a pc so I'm not worried about that. Also i can get my apps again from my itunes account. What happens to my notes pages, my text messages, my whatsapp messages. My kik messenger messages. How do I save them?
I don't want to lose any of my notes or messages.
Do I then just go into settings and reset settings so its back to factory settings when I hand it over to the purchaser? Hope someone can help. TIA.
I've posted this is mobile phones section as well just in case it should be there. Thnx to anyone who can help.

For whatsapp and KIK use the backup facility in them then store databases on hardrive so when you get new one you can restore.
With sms just use a sms backup app0 -

The correct way to do it is to backup your current phone (all options ticked) to iTunes and then when you get your new iPhone simply restore to the new one.
You can then reset the old phone before selling it. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
You can backup your phone in iTunes.
Then when you plug in a new phone you can choose to restore the backed up image to that. It works across different models of iPhone, but you may (some do some don't) need to re-enter passwords when you next connect to a given service.0 -

I've now backed up my iPhone. Does that save the kik messages and the what'sapp messages? Thanks.0

Yes, as long as you had everything ticked, then it backed up everything.
And if you're not sure, then restore it all onto your new iPhone and you should see everything there.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0
