My daughter went to countrywide lettings in prestatyn north wales to see about renting a property, the property she was interested in was due to become available in 3 weeks time, the "trained" letting agent took £150 off her to secure the property and gave her forms to fill in and take back, she needed a guarantor, which was to be me, according to the agent i didn't earn enough so 2 were needed, as we were unable to get a second guarantor my daughter went back to the agent to get her deposit back only to be told that it was non refundable, they never told her this when they initially took the money, we hadn't even submitted the application form so how can they warrant keeping the money? she is a single parent and needs the money to secure another property surely this can't be legal, they could do the same to several applicants and make a fortune without letting a single property???? Any advice on how to get her money back would be much appreciated.

    moneyclaim online....via citizens advice......
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
