Right, I'm going to do this....
Put me down for a 9 in a row challenge. From 16th to 24th inclusive. Gulp.
All my DD's get paid out on the 25th when I also get paid.
I have money in my accounts but just no need for me to spend anything between those dates, i'll just make sure i have enough cigs and food (and maybe a couple of bottles of wine!) the day before. I have bought my monthly train pass already.
Will be quite interesting to see if I can get this, save as for emergencies there's no reason whatsoever for me to spend money, so why not eh?! GAME ON!Debt free, moved, got new stuff for the new flat - got everything I wanted and need - now just saving.0 -
I'm glad I've brought back some good memories with my favourite music. It's good to know there are other fans on here. :T:T:T:dance::dance::dance:
You have, MB. I've been listening to them today... I'd forgotten how good the albums are, tbh, so thank you:THeadAboveWater wrote: »Thanks for the update spoon and encouraging words for everyone:D
It's a pleasure, HAW:)HeadAboveWater wrote: »Think I'll try for another one today, although tis very possible that OH will spring a 'gone stop off and get...' text/call on me before the day is out
Will update later!!
I'm waiting with baited breath..............Having only just realised the severity of my debts and sorting them out, I wanted to join in but had absolutely no idea of my spending habits. So I started the spending diary and will join in properly next month but it shocked me to see, in a nice way, that so far this month I have already had 3NSD in a row. Only spent on 4 days out of 10 so that's over 50% success!
Hi zenshi :hello: and welcome to the NSD challenge. Well done for the NSDs you've nabbed so far, that's pretty good going by anyone's standards:T:T
If you'd like to join us for the rest of the month, you'd be very welcome, otherwise you can just pop in and keep us updated with your progress. You can also pop in if you need a kick up the bum (aka.. some encouragement:D)
Good luck and look forward to seeing you soon.

Not one for me today as I stocked up on quite a few things at the chemist's as 20% off all non-prescription items today-happens once a month,so worth waiting for.Everything is budgeted for so I'm still happy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NARGLE :bdaycake:
Hope you've had a good one.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Thanks for all the birthday wishes, today has been pretty good! One or two nice useful gifts plus a fair bit of cash which I spent on a few items updating my wardrobe for the warmer weather to come. I retrieved my summer clothes from storage, packed my winter stuff away (although I still have kept a few layers-type things to keep me warm until summer gets here) and gave my summer stuff a quick iron, then I put it all in the wardrobe and looked at it to see what I needed. There was a fair bit of blues, greys and neutrals, so bright things were on the list for this afternoon's shopping spree. New jeans, bright teeshirts, a gorgeous deep pink linen shirt - all now lined up in my wardrobe and shouting "wear me!" Also bought some cream cakes which were demolished with the aid of OH and DS.
This evening I had a kebab from the chip shop which was ok but very disappointing when I remember kebabs eaten years ago, in pitta bread with fresh salad. Today's kebab was just a pile of meat on some old chips. Maybe I am losing my taste for fast food, it always seems a bit of an anticlimax after the event. Or perhaps, due to being much more cash savvy and frugal in recent years, I have become accustomed to real proper food, made with fresh ingredients and cooked from scratch?
Anyway, having taken the day off the NSD hunt being Birthday Queen for the day, it will be back to normal tomorrow....get my hunting net, Igor! I smell an NSD on the horizon.....One life - your life - live it!0 -
still floating along on 3/12 - today was meant to be a NSD but didn't work out
silly me!
I have however applied for a new current account (the first direct one that all the MSE emails keep banging on about) so hopefully that will be a positive step financially and help me organise my finances better!
And i managed my first head-stand in yoga class, and thats got to count for something (stupidity or just pure show-off, i'm not sure which???)
Small steps ey?
Happy Wednesday everyone xGetting myself back on track! Pay off debt and save deposit time!0
