Driving Licence Revoked
Hi Peeps
Hoping somebody can give me some advice.
For one reason and another I hadn't opened any post for over 12 months and when I finally did it I found out my Driving Licence had been revoked as I hadn't sent it to DVLA to have some points added.
I was allowed to continue driving for 12 months but this time has now passed (I haven't been driving for almost 18 months).
My question is, how do I get my driving licence back? Or am I actually able to?
Thanks

Why was it revoked?? if it was revoked because you got 6 points in the first two years after passing your test you will have to do the theory and practical test again.0

Sorry I should've explained. I passed my test in 89 but in 2005 was given 6 points. i forgot to send my licence away to have the new points added so they have revoked my licence for that reason.BSC Member 59 - AD 29th March 2008

Hadn't opened any post for 12 months? !!!!!!?0

It`s not impossible. When I finally asked for help and went into rehab, I hadn`t opened my mail for over 6 months. The clinic was so impressed with the big pile I took in that they took a `photo of it and then helped me to deal with it. If you are afraid to open your mail, you try to ignore it. To the OP - I hope you have sorted out your reasons for the fear.0

Yes I have thanks, which is now why I'm rying to tackle the issues that are laft as a result of it. I had 3 black bin bags of shredded post when I was finally able to find the courage to open it. Hope you are still on your track of recoveryBSC Member 59 - AD 29th March 2008

Sorry - I didn't mean to be insensitive, I just couldn't imagine not opening post for a year (or not getting someone else to open it and deal with it.)
Anyway - Hope you are better now, and I agree with others that you should contact DVLA as soon as possible. To avoid their rip-off 1700, try ringing 01792 782341. Unless they've changed it, that is their geographic number.0
