checking previous land use?

Someone posted a website where one can check what potential hazards were/are with either your land or land in the area, such as previous land fills, risk of subsidence etc. Does anyone know where this is?

Its https://www.homecheck.co.uk but the basic search you can do on the site isin't that accurate, for example it said my house had a medium risk of subsidence but the full check came back as very low. In fact it can be a bit alarming, our house sounded like a nightmare but the full check was fine.0

Maybe remember the free search is just a guide of the local area.
Your solicitor will do searches for you anyway which will be more accurate. You just have to ask for the right search to be done.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
Just make sure you get an environmental search done.0

Promap can give you historical maps of your property - http://www.promap.co.uk/promap/products.jsp?articleid=3675
I found out there was a coal mine within 100yards of my property over 100 years ago yet nothing came up on any of the searches, including a Coal Board Search !Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !0 -
The environmental search will give more detail on the issues covered on the homecheck website, eg are there any landfill sites within 500 metres and if so it shows exactly where they are on a map.0
