Hi I have just bought a brand new pc and monitor. However, nothing is displaying on the monitor. The package I have bought is from Dino PC. Details are shown here http://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/Velociraptor-i5-3450-Package-93p1454.htm
The graphics card is a AMD Radeon HD 7770 1GB. Everything powers on ok. I have connected the screen via a D-sub cable. However I am wondering do I need to connect with a DVI-D cable? Unfortunately this has not been included in the box.

you need to use either the dvi or hdmi connection on the card rather than the vga motherboard connection i think - only going by what I can see in the linkThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Thanks for the prompt reply. Unfortunately, the monitor doesn't have an HDMI connection and I don't have a DVI-D cable so will have to wait until the morning and buy one. At least it gives me hope that it will be easily resolved.0

Check the boxes for adaptors, sometimes the graphics cards have a couple of VGA/dvi in with them...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

No adapters in the box, but I have plugged it into the lounge tv which has HDMI and instantly got a picture. Thanks again for your help.0
