I moved out of the property six months ago and the water system has been drained down. I have now spoken to British Gas who were just checking to see whether there was a new occupant of the house who had been using unbilled gas for the last six months. I had a £400 credit which was repaid to me once the meter reading was checked in October. Panic over and hopefully the house will soon be sold and another worry out of the way.
