aw.... just tried to book a flight to anywhere (managed to get 2p each to Hamburg) - but then you have to add £16.50 for taking on a bag and for insurance!

    okay, it's still a bargain - but it ain't 2p! :)

if you know someone to stay with its great but even the cheapest hotel cost £100 - so now we're up to nearly £135 for 3 days. Okay, okay, it's still cheap I know, but you're talking about a student and her unemployed boyfriend!

    Oh well, never mind, boohoo!

i'd need to get insurance anyway wouldn't i.... and you have to pay something even if you dont take luggage.

i dont want to be a whingeing winnie, i appreciate it's still a bargain (esp for july), just not bargain enough for me (lol, yes i do want something for nothing!!)

thanks anyway and best of luck peeps!

Please ignore the following as they've finally taken the money this evening. Left the detail below in case anyone else is in a similar situation.

    Anyone else had this "problem".

Booked last Thursday to go from MAN to Dublin using Switch, and Ryanair still haven't taken the money out of the account. I have the email confirmation and with the confirmation number and card number I can also view the booking online.

I'd added the online checkin for three of us, so £12.06 should have gone out (they didn't add the card charge onto the confirmation).

One of those occasions where I'd be happier if they'd taken they money as I'm nervous in case there is a problem as we are all looking forward to it.

It's certainly advisable to have insurance but Ryanairs insurance is optional.

Picked up a couple of Dublin tickets last night for 2p plus the £1.40 card charge - must get myself an electron card!

it can be done cheaply ;)

it's a TOTAL of £2.84 for my boyfriend and i to fly to bremen return - we'll just take hand luggage and already have insurance (a lot of people don't take out insurance - it's optional with ryanair, but recommended obviously). the extra £2.80 on top of the four x 1p flights is the total booking fee with a switch card.

    almost somethin for nothin!!!

just a happy update on my trip to bremen...

we have tussuads annual passes (tesco clubcard bargains) and heide park (about 60km from bremen) is included free entry... so that's a couple of days of our trip sorted!

fantastic post - deserves hundreds of 'post of the month' nominations!! thankuuuuuuuuuuuu!

Just say, of course this is purely out there, but if the plane crashes and people perish! if you opted not to get external or ryanair's travel insurance would that mean no compensation for the family of the dead?
