Best CC for no balance transfer

I have never had a CC. Which CC would be best for me? I do not have any balance to transfer.

If you've never had a CC, one from your own bank or a sub-prime card such as Vanquis or Aqua are your best chances of being accepted.
That said, my OH had never had a CC before, she was accepted for the Tesco one with 16 months interest free on purchases (albeit only with a £1k limit and 21.9% APR).0
