 my dd got overdrawn with a natwest solo account as it let her take money out when she used it in a shop she was 14
I was very angry as I did ask if that was possible when we opened the account and was told that it could not happen

Debit transactions under a certain value are often processed without checking for funds in many larger shops. Hence me getting a £38 charge for a £1.92 book of stamps (subsequently reclaimed from RBS along with a lot of other money).
