Travel insurance with child with health problem

Anyone know which insurer might be the best to use for insuring family with one child who has heart condition. Going away for one week abroad in June.Thanks

    Can't help with any specifics but a starting point might be to contact a support charity related to the condition and see if they have any suggestions - they may have come across this problem before. Hope you sort it, sorry couldn't be any more specific.

    you could also try medicover.co.uk or the Association of British Insurers abi.org.uk or call them on 0207 600 3333....

    My aunt is in remission from cancer, Medicover quoted her £1400 for cover to go to China for 10 days! Some other insurers refused to cover her. She finally went with American Express which charged her approx £42 for a similar level of cover! I guess every case is different but it might be worth a try.
  • You could try Heartline - a charity for children with heart conditions and their families. They may know of the best place to get travel insurance.
