Excel Parking - Providence Street Wakefield

Hi, i have read all the other info on Excel here, but just want to make sure i won't get any legal action if i ignore as most people have stated to do.
I went to the Wakefield car park the other Friday night, i tried to put money in the ticket machine, but it would not accept it, i then tried the second machine, same again.
So i checked the couple of other cars in the car park, neither of which had a ticket so assumed all would be ok?
I then got the Parking notice through, should i pay or ignore?
I wish i had just moved my car onto the side street as i know i would not have got a notice from there.
Thanks

hello
that car park is opposite my hairdresser and notorious for ticketing anyone they can; like all of these merchants excel are invoicing you not fining you so ignore it and them-they will go away. you are better to park in the WMDC one nearby-free after 6pm and chepaer than excel when chrages apply
hold your nerve they are bullies just IGNORE!!!!!!even god cant change the past-no matter how many times i cryfor levi, leo, smudge and arfa:A my angels0 -
I concur with the above, ignore does work. But I will give your three options below
1) pay them
2) appeal to the parking company, when they refuse go to popla
3) ignore completely
I don't recommend the first obviously, the second one is a real alternative where you can appeal to popla , cost the parking company £32 and the decision is not binding on you, but it is on Excel. Or just ignore the whole thing, and just accept the junk mail. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Ignore or appeal are your options. Read up on it:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=77301
Also read pretty much any other thread on this MSE forum and you'll find people discussing whether to just ignore all the dent collector letters, or whether to appeal. Your choice, personally I would appeal and then use POPLA which you'll find lots of info about on this very forum.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
