Outlook emails wont open - page frozen?

Hi
My Hotmail has just updated to Outlook. I didn't sign in, it just opened with my inbox page but whilst I am auto-receiving new emails I can't open them. Nothing on the page opens when I click on it (folders,e.g. junk, deleted, etc) Also nothing happens when I click on 'New' or any of the icons.
I can't see where to log out or I would have tried this. I have switched off and on again but it loaded my inbox page automatically.
Any ideas please?
