I would go for a Lenovo laptop as they are sturdy and relaible devices that will fit all of your requirements
A couple of devices to chose from are a Lenovo Z580 from Save On Laptops, Lenovo S400 from Laptops Direct and a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E130 from Ebuyer0 -
Dell used to offer a range of machines with Linux some years ago. These days they offer only one laptop with Linux but it's a high end machine.

The other alternative, other than a Mac, is to find a machine that comes without and OS and then install the Linux of your choice on it. You could even opt for a decent second hand machine. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0
