Microsoft Licenses

I am in the process of auditing the PC's for my company. I want to check that we have the correct licenses.

I have come across a few PC's where the operating system share the same licence number. e.g 76400-OEM-0012134-00202

Does this mean that we are using copies or os it possible to have the same licence number on more than one PC?

I would say not, what operating system are you using ??

If it's a volume license from Microsoft, then it usually doesn't come in the form of an OEM license number. So i'd say that you've got the same OEM copy on more than one PC - which doesn't look good.

I thought Windows WGA check would tell you , or do you not fully patch them to keep them up to date ??
