Hanging pictures / sticky fixers?!

Hi All,
Have seen an ad a couple of times on the tv - it's claiming to be some sort of sticky pad thing that you can use to hang picture frames with. Then remove without shredding your wallpaper. I'm not sure I believe it but I'd love to give them a try!!
Does anyone know what they're called?! I've searched Asda and B&Q to no avail, but thought they were mentioned in the ad!
Ta!

I saw these too but sorry I can't think of the name of them either. I thought they were pointless until it mentioned that they can easily be removed and repositioned, however I'm not yet convinced that:
1. They'll hold the pictures up long-term.
2. They won't damage the paintwork when they are removed.
If you do find out the name of them, could you please let me know and let me know if they do what they say they do.
If I find out the name of them, I will be back.

Not convinced myself but worth a shot in some out of the way corner of the house!! If all goes well there, they might spread! Having said that I bought some sticky hook thing that went up easily, came down easily and held more weight than it should have. So maybe there is a glimmer of hope.....:p0 -

Pretty sure that's them! Clever you! :beer:0 -
I've never used the picture hanger things (but I'd be very interested if anyone's got any feedback!) but I have used the hooks - the same as these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Command-Medium-Hooks-Strips-17081/dp/B0000CFLYU/ref=sr_1_3?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1364431836&sr=1-3 and they work a treat
. They're still on the back of the door 2 years after they went up (and they take some punishment!) These too are supposed to be easy to remove. I've not tried removing them yet, so I can't confirm - but as they attach with what looks like a little bit of padded double sided tape (iyswim), I can imagine it would come off relatively easily

If you leave a picture hanging for long enough, you will probably find the wallpaper behind it noticeably different to the rest of the wall when you remove the picture as it will have faded less. That will be far more obvious than a small hole or tear in the wallpaper.
I would not trust glue or glue pads long term. I would be concerned that it would slowly creep over time and eventually give way.
What type of walls do you have? Plaster on solid brick/block or plasterboard with hollow interior?
Do you have some wallpaper left over?
In our previous house we had mostly wallpapered walls of plaster on solid brick walls and I hung pictures by drilling a hole and using a suitably sized rawlplug and screw. That does leave a noticeable hole but it is quite easy to fill it in and paint it or patch it with a small piece of spare wallpaper and make the hole almost invisible.
We now have plasterboard walls, none of which have wallpaper.
I hang lightweight pictures with a single panel pin hammered in at about 45 degrees angle.
The hole that leaves if the pin is removed is barely noticeable and would be easily filled and disguised with a tiny drop of matching paint.
For heavy pictures I still use a screw and suitable plasterboard plug.0
